After going through my cookie cutter box, I decided on bunnies from behind. (Don't go there, I just picked the easiest one.) After working all day, this is how you become Super Mom of the Year. I am waiting on my award!
First make your favorite sugar cookie dough , roll to an 1/8". Cut and Bake cookies.
To make your color flow icing- powdered sugar, meringue powder, gel color and water. (recipe in meringue powder container)
Mix to desired consistency- I like mine more runny than the recipe, so add extra water.
Dip cookies, wiping excess off on edge of the bowl. Let dry on wax paper. color will settle smooth (there is a run off on the tails, but 5 year olds are eating them and don't care)
Mix royal icing using meringue powder, powdered sugar and water. (recipe in meringue powder) Pipe a cottontail on bunnies bottom using a star tip.

Those are so damn cute! I cannot bake so my daughters will have to be content with their store-bought bunny cookies which are not anywhere near as cute as the ones you made!

My friend Chris, whom I do not know IRL...we've only ever spoken in the blogosphere... is a computer genius. Our friendship started with him teaching me some HTML code so that I could post links in comments.
